Snapback trucker hats

A standard snapback trucker such as the Richardson 112 is one size and adjusts to fit about 56 to 62 cm (22 to 24 ⅜ in). That covers most adults. If you measure over 62 cm, look for an XL snapback or a stretch-fit trucker such as a Flexfit XXL.

Stretch-fit trucker sizes

Richardson R-Flex and Flexfit truckers have a stretch band and no closure. They come in two or three sizes.

Fit tips

  • Mesh-back truckers breathe well but do not stretch. The snap strap does all the adjusting.
  • Foam-front truckers have a tall crown. If you have a smaller head, look for a mid-profile trucker.

How to measure your head

  1. 1 Use a soft tape measure, or a string and a ruler.
  2. 2 Wrap it around your head where the hat will sit: about 1 cm (⅜ in) above your ears and across the middle of your forehead.
  3. 3 Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. Do not pull it in.
  4. 4 Read the number where the tape overlaps. Measure two or three times and use the largest value.
  5. 5 Type the number into the calculator, or find it in the chart.

Are trucker hats one size fits all?

Snapback truckers are, within about 55 to 62 cm. Stretch-fit truckers come in sizes such as S/M and L/XL.

What size trucker hat do I need for a big head?

Over 62 cm, choose an XL snapback or a Flexfit XXL trucker.

Can you make a trucker hat smaller?

Yes. Tighten the snap strap. If it still feels loose on the last snap, add a foam sizing strip.
